Sounds like your doing better that most..keep it up but try changing areas and baits and read local fishing reports with a grain of salt..some people like to exagerate (lie) I always ask local fish and bait shops and take all into consideration...If I caught fish everytime I went I would call it catching lol

The best is to just go out and see what works for you. I have read every magazine, article, listened to every word of mouth, and checked every fishing time, moon phase, etc... Find a lure you like, pair it up to a fish you like to catch in your area, learn about that fish (where it likes to live), and enjoy. I live in Iowa and like fishing for largemouth bass. I don't have a boat and fish from shore also. The lure I like to use best here is a 4.750-5 in watermelon powerbait shaky worm with purple and green fleck rigged with a 2/0 offset Gamakatsu, but to each his own (hence my favorite rig, just giving ideas)...ref what bait works for you ^. Technique is always good too...I like to jig and drop my worms (kill it). Find it works good here pulling out between 3-5 lb bass within 3 feet of shore. Just find what you like to catch and what will catch it best where you live. That is the only trick you need to learn. Happy fishing and good luck.
