This mix of flowing and still water gives anglers close access to salmon, steelhead, trout, bass and panfish within minutes of town. Understanding seasonal timing and how water levels shape fish location is the key to consistent success.

On the Green River through Auburn, salmon and steelhead focus on travel lanes, soft edges and deeper buckets. In fall, coho and chum move on rising flows; look for softer seams just inside the main current and slots below riffles.
