Hi i just recently moved from WA to VIC, still don't know why, but am enjoying it. i have done a little bit of fishing and love it..although i can't say i have caught anything. since i moved i went on the Melbourne Fishing Charter which was $80 and we didn't catch any keepers but for the 4-5 hours we were fishing i pulled up a fish every 5-10 mins which was great if u enjoy catch and release. all in all a great day, despite no proof to show the gf that i caught anything. needless to say i got the bug, and i bought 2 rods and am gonna get out and do it as often as i can.
My question is, does anybody have any tips or reccomendations for a rookie fisherman? also where in prahran or st kilda or nearby can u buy bait from?

well im glad you enjoy fishing as for having proof to show people what you've caught bring a camera fishing is fun next time bring the girlfriend she might enjoy it as well
