I was planning on hitting the coast myself...last week and over the weekend...But we got a bit of rain !!

Now, I am no "fair weather fisherman" by any means...But really - bush fires then COVID and now rain and floods. Come on give me a break !!!

At least the floods have slowed down the mouse plague !!!

Tomorrow should be interesting !!

We are just getting the edge of it here. Some strong winds and plenty of rain. Unlike other parts the rain here is good rain. But I was expecting the creek to flood but so far so good.

I just heard the Macleay River has hit 6.3 meters. So that absolutely beautiful home that I sat at Smithtown a few years ago will be well and truly under water now!! But then again a couple of years ago we got it here when I was house sitting at Boree Creek, we got flooded in 9 times in 4 months...So I guess we all have to take a turn

Just heard the Macleay is at 6.5. At 6.6 they will probably order an evacuation of pretty much all of Kempsy...The real problem is that most of the water is still in the hills and has not hit the river yet !!

If Kempsy goes under, there is no hope at all for Smithtown.

Even bigger tomorrow...But would you believe Wednesday is forecast to be sunny !!!
