Two grouper-type fish lie on a white marble countertop, one being cut with a knife by a person whose hands are visible at the left. The fish are mottled brown and grey with thick bodies and rounded tails, one showing blood around the gill area from cleaning. The setting appears to be an indoor kitchen or fish-cleaning bench with tiled walls in the background.
