A freshly caught grouper lies on its side on rough grey rock or concrete breakwater blocks. The fish has a heavy-bodied grouper shape, a pale grey-brown base colour densely covered with small reddish-brown spots, rounded pectoral and tail fins tinged brownish-red, and a partly raised spiny dorsal fin. Red marks around the gill cover show where it was hooked or handled, and no angler is visible in the frame. The title records the catch at 5.34 kg.
