Only my 2nd fish caught in Australia. Used a z-man soft plastic on a jig head. Virtually took it at my feet. 12"-13" in length. It was legal but I popped it back in the drink.

It is not uncommon to find them right at the shore sitting right on the water line. Also common in shallow tidal flats.

Where do you normally fish?...In case you catch anymore, most parts of Aust the size limit is 33cm which is 13 inches.

Yes the Z man are good stuff. Caught 3 more yesterday but all undersized. I'm not all that fussed about eating my catches so any size is good.
