Perhaps we need an online 'tiny dancers' fish competition. Smallest, most disappointing or comical fish wins the internet for the day. Whilst you'll have a good shot someone may be able to do better (worse?). one thing I've often marvelled at over the years is how the smallest fish seem to love hitting the largest baits/hooks/lures. It's some sort of weird maxim.

It wasn't that long ago a kingi chased up one of your snappers, giving credence to my suggestion under your photo to use it as livebait. one thing I should probably point out though, in case it wasn't obvious - it's illegal, because using it as livebait is considered a non-release (keeping/killing - even if nothing eats it and you eventually release it) of an undersized fish. :-)

And yes that's the cutest snapper I've ever seen. Maybe we need different species categories for this tiny dancer comp. I don't stand a chance against the fish of you two but perhaps I could try for a tiny kahawai. Had a contender for tiny kingi last year but never got a photo before it made a successful bid for freedom. Come to think of it, you might win the tiny dancer hammerhead shark category too, IIRC.

Yes on the contest! 45 years ago while drifting the Kenai river for King salmon, I caught/oopsied a fish so small it slid into the neck of a beer bottle. My mates refused to pay up on the first fish of the day pool.

Hahaha. A fish is a fish. Name and shame those 'mates' :-)

I made a small fish album on our AirB&B page. This could be fun. Facebook.com/TheBlueAngelBB tag us
