Good onya for the catch and the release Pam. Awesome stuff. Do they gun straight for the oysters when hooked? If so, it would be quite an effort to stop them getting there when they get that size. Or do the big ones tend to give up after the first few runs?

All I was doing was letting my bait sit in a flow of water from under the road, just to the left of the flow, the oyster bed to the far left, no visible nibble, just one swift strong pull and it would fight for 20 - 30 seconds...pause, then run again. Not really to the oyster bed tho. It did that like 5 times then I had it at the wall. Magnificent fish for sure. Just didn't feel right to keep it. It had HEART!
