I have been fishing Bryan Beach in Freeport, TX since 1979. This month is especially good to catch the bull redfish from the beachfront of where the Brazos river dumps into the Gulf. Large baits like croaker and whiting are used with 12/0-14/0 circle hooks.

Catch and release mostly. We do keep at least one per season and they are great on the grill or poached in a butter sauce. Check out my website at texasselectseasonings.com for some great spice blends and recipes. Wild Bill
