The reds run up the beach along the first coast spawning in the estuaries of Mayport and the mouth of the St Johns River. Caught and released on the Jacksonville Beach pier five bull reds came over the rails Friday morning from 11-2 during a major feeding time. Over twenty pounds and nearly four feet long these fish are a blast to catch on medium tackle.
