I've been told it is a Goliath Grouper, There are many species of the Grouper. I'm pretty sure that's what is. When I caught her I could not get her off the bottom, I was in about 9 feet of water, after she got tired it was then like reeling in a rock. Caught in the back waters.... Thanks for the post

@bobbyb yes they are like rocks to reel in you need to tyre them out first.. but it must have been fun though never the less!!....

outback, yes tyre him out, I was using a stradic 1000, 10 lb spiderwire braid to 20lb fluoro leader. Very fun my target species that day "snook" so i was very surprised to hook into her

Gave her back, I'm not much of a fish eater. Just love to fish... Now on the other hand.. shell fish Lobster, King Crab, Snow Crab and Shrimp I love to eat...
