These waters give local anglers close-range shots at bass, trout, crappie, perch, and catfish without leaving Baltimore County. Understanding how each fishery changes with season and water conditions is the key to consistent action.

Loch Raven Reservoir is the primary destination for Towson anglers. This deep, tree-lined drinking‑water reservoir fishes well from early spring through late fall. In spring, focus on coves and shallow flats where largemouth bass, crappie and panfish move to warm up and stage for the spawn.
