what type of fish is this. Looks like what we call a shad. if so, it's a nice size as the latest we get arround here are all undersize.

Is a Kahawai,very comon fish around New Zealand and very good catch on light line. they very under rated as a sports fish. this was 1 of 4 fish hooked on the day,lost 2 and released 1 as this one was so big it feed the family 2days...
