🇺🇸 2016-09-27 Mayfield Pond.

A single bass lies on a bed of dry grass and dead vegetation beside the water, photographed in the evening light. The fish has a dark olive-green body with faint vertical barring, a bronze-tinged head and a closed mouth, consistent with a smallmouth bass. No angler, rod or other gear is visible in the frame, just the fish on the bank. The uploader's companion photo from the same session at Mayfield Pond in Bend, Oregon, notes smallmouth bass caught on worms under a bobber.
