Quick Intro:
Been fishing for over 40 years, mostly fresh water, with a little bit of in-shore salt water thrown in here and there.

Favorite fish to target is crappie (calico, sac-au-lait), closely followed by walleye.

For fun, or when I can't coax either to bite, I'll targer largemouth bass so I don't get skunked.

I also enjoy trolling for monster brown trout and chinook salmon on Lake Ontario. Nothing beats the sound of a screaming drag on a trolling rod.

Spring time gets me on streams for trout, while fall gets me back on the streams for the salmon run.

Once it gets cold, I turn my attention to fur & feathers, and spend the late fall and winter in the woods hunting.

Oh yeah, I would be remiss were I not to mention that I think this is an awesome websitesite!

Hi jonboat

Welcome to fishingreminder. Glad you like the site
Man - it sounds like you have lots of fun out there fishing and hunting.

The season is in full swing at the moment, eh?

tight lines

If people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles.

Thanks. Season's definitely in full swing, but this year has been tough to find time to be on the water. I did manage to get out Saturday night for some channel catfish. We got 10, most in the 8-10 lb weight range. Didn't get home til 4 in the morning, to bed at 5 after cleaning them. Still REALLY tired today, but it was great to get on the water.
