Well I was hoping to get out for a fish this Easter weekend,but with the bad weather we have had here in Gods own,NZ,we will have to wait for another fine w/end,will take a few days of fine weather to clear the water i guess...Have re-spooled a couple reals with new 14lb line,and stripped and cleaned the reals as well,seem to be running quite smooth again...Today is quite good,not much cloud,lots of sun and very little wind but i know there will be a lot of debris out on the water...The Foxton Easter comp,not sure if its still on this w/end,it may not be safe enough to continue the event???

although I must say I had a blast kitesurfing after the storm yesterday.
must find a way to combine kitesurfing and fishing maybe trolling for kahawai - hihi - that would be a interesting new fishing method.

Your kite flying fishing for Kahawai would be really interesting as they are good fighting fish and usually need some playing to land them on shore ..
Any way how is your Flounder Netting going ????????????????
If you like we could meet up sometime as I am in Papakura .... and normally fish out that part of the Coast .. there are some good flounder at this way too ...heers Al.

I know that area reasonably well as used to live in PN and fish the mouth of the Manawatu also the Rangatikei at Himatangi ... Rangatikei good for Kahawai ...I now oscilate between Rotorua and Papakura -- I have a great life style... Cheers Al

I haven't managed to catch any flounder yet. Lack of time, flounder net and proper knowledge
Would love to meet up with you to catch some flounder and learn the right technique.
