G'day I'm Wolf.
Yeah, live in the blue mountains west of Sydney. Been fishing ever since I've been able to crawl.
Recall many a cold night under the brooky rail bridge in one of shumachers clinker built's, with me old man saying there's a big jewy coming on.
Still waiting for that jewy, must be a monster by now.
But in the interim I have been able to snag nearly every other species, fresh and salt.

Hi Wolf

Welcome to the forum.
I love the Blue mountains. Been there twice to do some hiking.
Never done any fishing over there though. I guess there are nice trout to be caught?

cheers
Mark

If people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles.

G'day I'm Wolf.
Thanks Mark. Yeah many trout, brown Rainbow. We also catch bass, black bream, herring, eels, perch, etc. This will blow ya away atlantic salmon.

Turns out that the fisheries released some A.S. fry. in streams around Oberon.
They didn't do too well but I was lucky enough to land one. This was a couple of years after their release.

To the east we have the mighty Hawkesbury river. Both fresh and salt depending where ya fish. Bridge to nowhere, is located at a point where the fresh water and the salt water join. What a riot to fish there. Silver bream followed by a perch then an eel, then a nice flat head.

I'm babbling on and on. Mark there are some really good bush walks in the mountains and surround. I'd love to do the "Leyland bro's Tinny trip" ho hum but the hike would be great.
Gotta go. G'day I'm Wolf.
