Certain times of the year we get skinny waters, hardly any water out on the bay. What causes this and how long does it last. Last time I went out there was skinny waters out on the bay, that was 2 or 3 weeks ago.

It is the fronts and that brings the strong north winds. Have fished the Texas coast for years. When a front is coming in the winter, I do not fish the shallow bays. The fronts don't always bring good fishing.

Live on Canyon Lake, Texas. Have most of my life fishing salt and fresh water. We are catching rainbow trout out of the Guadalupe river, below canyon dam. Lot of fly fisherman from all over Texas. we start fishing for white perch, in the next few weeks. Have a son that is a guide this starts his fishing year. By the way how do u submit pics?
