Let us know what location you wish to fish, this matters ,to fine tune what to use. Here in the Ozarks, at Bull Shoals lake, White River , we do have some nice walleye, but not as large as up north. i caught a 3-4 pounder last July on the White River with just a live worm bouncing along the bottom very early in the morning, as Walleyes are nocturnal . I also went with a Friend close to Bull Shoals Dam on the White River where the limit is 6 any size on Barbless hooks and no live or scented bait. We used floating X-raps and Smithwick lures which worked well, my Buddy caught a nice 24+inch Walleye at night on spinning equipt. with 6 lb. line, lure was very light colored like white or pearl. His method was reel in a couple turns then pull up a little and let pause to settle, then repeat. We also caught nice Bass and some Trout we let go, cause it is a catch and release on Trout at that area. There are some good sites just on Walleye Fishing, do a simple search to locate them, Good Luck and Enjoy, AJ
If people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles.
