Hello you live real close to lake ray Roberts this is one of the BEST fishing lakes in texas ,myself I love to crappie fish there fun to catch and great to eat the fish should be in there winter pattern buy now ,what I do is find a brush pile and have fun. summer and winter patterns are the same about 16 -30 foot deep .have a good time , let me know how it goes.
