looking forward to trying out my new 8wt fly rod at Lake Tyers this afternoon. Hoping for a nice flathead or flounder otherwise it's valuable fly casting practice.

Is the lake open? Should be after all this rain.

Never got there puncture, getting petrol then they drive through Lakes Entrance at schools time - just too hard. Next week for sure.

That's a shame...

I am looking forward to my next visit to the Entrance. I spied a couple of good spots just west of the foot bridge. Pitty I was walking my dog at the time...(bloody mutt, interfering in my fishing and beer time...no wonder he hides behind the clothes line !! ).

So, I take it then, that you don't know if Tyres is open or not ?
