I guess this is more for the Australian members here...but, hey join in no matter where you are.

I am a little bit put out with the latest BCF advertising. I am really not sure what to make of their "play on words". They have come up with...BCFing..and it looks like they intend to run with it for some time.

For those not in Australia, BCF is Boating Camping Fishing. It is a company owned by the Super Retail Group, along with Supercheap Auto, Rays Outdoors, Amart Sports, Avanti Fitness, Goldcross Cycles, Rebel and Workout World etc.

I am no prude. I am male and in my 50's. I know how to (and sometimes do) use some very choice words. In fact, I have been caught out using the F word in front of children once or twice (never intentionally). Always apologised :)

I know it slips out sometimes...But, really, to take your company name and deliberately play the F word off it ???

TV ads with young children jumping and yelling (or singing) "b c f ing fun" !! Really?

Or am I just getting old and losing the plot?
