Hi Dylan,
I know it seems a bit odd. But it is quite normal...No, you are not wasting your time going out
Every now and then a day will have only 3 times. One major and two minors or one minor and two majors. Our clock time is different. It is a bit like a leap year when we have to add a day to compensate. If you think of tides, they are about 6 1/2 hours apart (in most places) but our clock is 24 hours. So most days we will have 4 tides each day. If 4 tides each day was the norm, then it would be 6 hours between each tide. The 30 minute difference means that every now and then we have a day with only 3 tides and that 3 tides per day might go on for 2 or 3 days until the tides once again fall within the bounds of our 24 hour clock time.
The solunar clock fishing times are based on tide, moon, sun etc, etc none of which align with our man made 24 hour day. So in most cases all it means is that the next major (or minor) time is falling in the next day which makes it look like today only has 3.
I have had a look. You must be somewhere near me I guess...In this case we will have two days with only 3 solunar times shown. It might just be that the times are very, very close to our man made 24 hour change over. But it is rare to have only 3 times for 2 days in a row. I am sure Mark will take a look to make sure all is working properly.
To help you out I have done a mental calculation...Fri major will be (roughly) 2359 hrs to 0159 hrs, which of course is actually Saturday. Then Sat will be (again roughly) 0102 hrs to 0302 hrs....I think
Does that make sense?
