Just moved here from up North. Understand this Shoalhaven region has much varied fish types, in both river and coastal.
Looking forward to it all.

Welcome to Fishing Reminder

What style of fishing do you do?

The Shoalhaven offers pretty much every type of fishing you can think of.

Back in the Stone Age from a spinner family, mostly Garfish / Mullet on Mustad x 4 6/0 Tailer, Salmon, Jewfish, Spanish up North
Beach work is getting harder, thank GOD for 4x4.
Rock hopping is becoming a cherished memory.
Seven Mile Beach looks promising, Salmon; YES website "Fishing the Shoalhaven" very good.
Now have a PORTA BOTE (with 6 HP Yamaha) so looking forward to covering some of the spots on the Shoalhaven.
Not long back from FLORIDA USA ....where fishing gear has to be seen to be believed; did a couple charters, very interesting.

I can't find the web site "fishing the Shoalhaven". Do you have a link?

Yeah I like Mustard too. Most of my "serious" hooks are Mustard. But for light day to day bream and flathead hunting any old cheap stuff will do the job.

I looked at getting a Porta-a-Bote a few years ago. I don't remember what turned me off...might have been the price. How do you find it? What would be your review of the Porta-a-Bote ?
