Well, I have caught 194 Bass so far this year. My son has been fishing with me 3 times in 4 years. This past Sunday, he says lets go fishing for 1 1/2 hrs. I thought what is he saying. You can't catch fish in an hour and a half. My wife told me, he must be sick, he never wants to go fishing. I love fishing, but my son doesn't.

Short story, my first cast I hook up on a 3 to 3 1/2 pound fish. He can't believe it, it starts to dance and throws the hook at the bank. We fish for 30 mins. and no bites. I take his crankbait that, I usually catch fish on and give him my worm rod with a purple ring worm with green glitter. In 10 minutes he catches 2 bass about 2 pounds and he can't believe it. He didn't get another bite.

I use my Bagley small fry bream wake bait in yellow belly bream. I hook into a 6 lb. 7 oz. bass my personal best in OH. My son say lets weigh him and we did lucky for me. Then, he says can I get the hook out. I said hold on to the fish tight. He will flip around with the hook out, so I can get a picture. He didn't hold on tight and my record fell in the water. Sorry, you can catch him next year. I hooked into this fish 2 times last year and lost him every time. I did catch 1 more bass, about 1 1/2 lbs.

Well, my son decided to take the day off from work. He went on a hike and fishing trip with his 2 daughters and son. I called at 8:00 pm and he said that they were still fishing. He said the kids were catching small bream. He remembered me saying that bluegills with a yellow belly were good bass food. He hooked up a small bluegill and hooked into a very big bass. He said the bass broke the line or he wasn't sure, if he tied the hook on correctly. He said I think, I tied it just like you showed me but, I'm not so sure.

Just maybe, he's finally hooked on fishing. I will take my 10 year old grandson out in the morning to teach him how to bass fish. When Jake was born 10 years ago, I was thrilled to know I could pass my fishing history on to him.

Tuesday, I took a friend out to the pond to teach him how to fish for bass Texas rigged style. I have now caught 206 bass this year. My first cast was with a 4 inch ring worm in purple and green glitter. I also rigged it up for Bud. I told him cast it out and let it sit on the bottom for 30 sec. or 1 min. We both had a Bass on the line, about 1 1/2 lbs. Bud looked at me and said," I can't believe it ". I also told him to jerk as hard as he can, when he feels the fish on the line. I also told him to watch his line as the bait sinks. If the line is moving to fast, reel up the slack line and jerk hard.

Bud told me, he can't believe how good, it is to feel the bass take the worm bait. This is only the 2nd time he has ever fished with any bait not alive. I took him out to teach him how to fish crankbaits 2 weeks ago. He thought it was GREAT!!!! The last time he fished, he was 10 years old. He fished with a cane pole and worms. Yes , he is hooked now. He believes in the major fishing times. He has caught 14 bass in 2 days of fishing. He told me , You must have been a great middle school teacher and coach for those 36 years. He told me he has a cousin, that has a boat and fishes in a club. He can't wait to fish with him.

Bud told me he went to Field and Stream to look at baits. He said ,"Do you know how many baits they have there". I have given him worms and hooks and weights. Also I gave him 6 crankbaits, that I have doubles in. He said "Help" I don't know what to even look at there. I told him just take me and show you the ropes of fishing baits. 6/4/18/
