here are some of my recent failures trying to land some kingfish.
please excuse the language in the first part as I was understandingly a little frustrated with that reel falling off my rod.
I've spend a few weeks now chasing kingfish. They certainly test all your skills and tackle to the max.
Powerful fish and great fun to catch or to loose

a snapper a day keeps the doctor away

Your reel fell off the rod ?? I wonder who is to blame for that ?? haha

You are really having a go at those kingies...I don't even know of a place in Australia where we could target kingies land based. You see them off rocks a fair bit, but they are quick. By the time you are ready to cast they are gone.
