wher are the good areas for salmon fishing around nanaimo I have a 16ft double eagle boat

Are you new to Nanaimo? I'm always looking for a friend with a boat!

Just off Nanaimo there are a few good spots. The Five Finger Islands are a good place to start and you can work your way North to Neck Point. A little further out (SE) there's a popular fishing spot called Thresher Rock. Also, right now I've been hearing of people launching from Nanoose and heading straight out and fishing the small islands - either jigging or trolling flashers.
