Gater trout are biting top waters like the Skitter Walk even during bright light with winds nearly to white cap strength. This goes against what I have always done concerning top water plugs. Who would have thought it would work?

Yeah sounds a bit odd for any surface lure to work in choppy conditions. Maybe the wind is blowing insects out of trees or carrying insects and landing them on the water sending the fish into a feeding pattern.
