I fish chimney lake bc canada, it was just after major time two star day yesterday it was a one star yesterday and had the same great results, last week with four star day at the major it was tuff fishing

You can only really tell if solunar times work or not, if you observe them over the course of a whole lot of fishing trips. Most people who keep a fishing diary find that they catch fish more consistently during the major or minor times.
Of course there is no 100% accurate way to tell if fish are biting or not, as there are a whole lot of other factors involved that cannot be predicted. If it was always a 100% chance to catch fish then fishing would be way too easy and no fun at all.
I personally never tried ice fishing. What kind of bait are you using? Do you use some chum to attract fish to your position?
