8/11/20 time was 6:15 to 8:15 Fishing my favorite spot a 4 1/2 ac. pond that is mostly moss covered. I was using an apple plum colored Senko rigged weightless on a # 2 hook. Using a Kast king 7.2 spinning reel and a 6'6" Diawa fiberglass rod. I caught 18 Bass in that 2 hour time period Largest 5lb. 8ozs. I can't keep them, catch and release only from a friends pond. All were caught from the bank. Pond is so mossy that only frogs and worms work.
I'm to old to fish out of a boat any more, so I pond fish from friends ponds. I always respect their property and tell them, I will help them stock their ponds with fish, if they will allow me to fish their property. I have not had 1 person turn me down yet.
So far this year I have caught 3, 5 1/2 Bass and 2 , 6.12 and 6.14 lb. bass that are my largest this year.

Is the moss there all year or does it clear up int the winter?

It sounds like TEXAS. Well the way it was when I was young.
