My name is John though my user ID is 'Grumpy Santa'. The ID may have something to do with my appearance but my demeanour isn’t necessarily grumpy.

Most of my fishing is estuary based using lures chasing bread and butter species with some Moreton Bay trips chasing snapper and pelagics. I have been a member of one fishing club or another for 30+ years and I’m currently in a sport fishing club. 30+ years doesn’t mean I know what I’m doing, I just look like it.

Looking forward to reading some of the posts in this forum. If the weather is bad and you can't get out in the boat, you might as well read about others who can.

Don't know at the moment. I'm currently doing a spring clean on the boat. Fixing the floor, new seat, full service for the motor, etc.

I hear the summer whiting are starting up on the Gold Coast so that will probibly be my choice for a shake down cruise. Nothing lke a pile of large Nerang River whiting fillets to start the season.
