I am an amateur in fishing and I am still trying to learn the tricks of the trade and be an expert. Mostly I do shore and rock fishing and do not seem to get a very good catch. Can you please provide me instructions on the best method for shore based fishing, what accessories I will require, how to set up a fishing line, etc. Also, please provide me a list of the best fishing spots in Dubai?

Also, do you know of any place in Dubai who give lessons in fishing for beginners? I usually go fishing on Friday's under the Maktoom Bridge, weather permitting and no other commitments.

Go talk to other fisherman...most are glad to help out! I always go for the old-timers...they are more receptive and have nothing to hide!! Good luck to you...if your fishing from the beach buy a surf-casting pole...gets you out further! It's a little tricky to toss out but once you get the hang of it...no worries!
