Hi Guys,

I have just moved to Abu Dhabi after several years in Dubai. I have also just acquired my fishing license for Abu Dhabi

I'm very interested in fishing and have been checking this site for spots in Abu Dhabi. Did try some spots near Mussafah & ICAD that were suggested by somebody, but got chased off by security. Noticed a lot of 'No fishing' signs all around there, though none have municipality seals on them. Have even tried deep sea with a friend who has a boat, but with hardly any luck.

Would appreciate information on good fishing spots in AD, as well as offshore locations / coordinates. Would also like to tie up with anybody interested in fishing on weekends.

I usually fish in sharjah and ajman no clue about spots in AD but i heard about marina that it's sucha really good place for fishing.

I have lived in Abu Dhabi for the last 5 years there are great places to fish but some of the best are Mussafah bridge opposite the Hotels also Al Bateen Beach, Yas Island or under Saadiyat Bridge all are producing excellent fish.

1. How do I access the 'Mussafah Bridge opposite the hotels area' ? I guess I could Google it if you give me the names of one or two of the hotels.
2. What kind of fish should I prepare for in these areas ?

the easiest way is if coming from Dubai travel over mussafah bridge take the first slip road after bridge follow road for about 200 meters then first slip road again follow road around to roundabout first exit off and travel about another 200 meters take left turn across road you will then be passing car ports on your right hand side and a large fenced off area on you left continue up over the speed bumps until you see a large blue fenced off area on your left with TDIC stickers on the fence there is a gate that yo can go through this will take you to the waters edge. i have caught many species Hamour Sheri Baracuda and a couple i do not know the names of but good size fish.
