What Is It ?

Does anyone know what this is called?

The little pin on the spool that the line is tied to.

It is usually only on overhead reels. The question was asked "what is it called". I have tried Google with every possible I can think of. So it is not arbor pin or reel pin. It is not post, anchor or rivot.

Sorry about the pics quality.

is it the Spool pin ?

Found better answer

The small pin or post on a casting reel spool that the fishing line is tied to is often called the spool pin or spool post. It's a small protrusion on the spool designed to anchor the fishing line when spooling a new reel.

Thanks. I also found that answer. But notice they say "often called". It is not the actual name.

The spool pin (also called post or rod) is the "pin" that goes through the spool and the spool turns on it. It's the same for any spool like cotton spool etc.
