I have owned a Swellpro FD1 drone since July 2023 and had a great run with this unit until a few Saturdays ago. I tried to start it up and it just would not go no matter what.

I have always been reasonably careful with it, yes pranged it a couple of times onto the beach and had to buy a few new props, but have kept it clean etc.

I sent it in to get checked and am told I need to get fitted a new GPS, ECS, and new motor. This totals $1050 plus will have a $250-300 service charge on top of that.

I am told that this is not a good model and should upgrade. I have probably used this about 80-100 times over the past 2 1/2 years (without any issues)

I am a bit disappointed obviously and .disillusioned. Not keen to go to a kontiki type operation as the drone is so easy.

Be interested in what you guys have to say about what way I should go.
