Poor Fishing On A Full Moon

So, apparently this coming Saturday the 26th September on the south coast of Mexico, Las Brisas, is going to be a one star poor day for fishing.

But it's a full moon. How is that possible?

Cheers

Moon phase is only one of the factors.

Solunar theory revolves around both sun and moon. Plus a few other factors like atmospheric pressure etc.

When all the factors line up, it will be 4 stars. So maybe the moon is just not getting enough help on that day.

One star does not mean a bad day. It just means your chances are less than an excellent or 4 star day.

Thanks. Yeah I get that, but 1 star. It'd be nice to see a baseline estimate of the quality of the day without any hocus pocus weather or other malarkey, just the facts.

Usually the day of full moon itself doesn't get the the best rating. The days around New Moon always get the best ratings. For full moon it's usually a few days after the Full moon that get better ratings. That is due to a combination of Solunar Theory and other fishing calendars. I might be able to change it so that users can choose a different rating system. But if you are just after the facts without hocus pocus, you could just ignore the day rating and only look for the moon phase and bite time windows on that day.

Thanks. Yeah, well I'm on the south coast of Mexico and it's the rainy season here, so things can change pretty quickly. That, to me at least, means factoring in any weather or sea conditions is more or less meaningless.

If I was to suggest anything, it'd be to have a forecast that excludes those variables as I mentioned above and just have a baseline solunar prediction. As you have noted, the actual day of the full moon doesn't get the best rating, I didn't know that. So what are the days then? That's the valuable info as far as my location is concerned.
