1st Time Crappie Fishing(Reservoir) -Suggestions? | Category: Help

I have plenty of experience fishing, just none crappie fishing.

I'd like to know what type of bait I should use (I plan on using artificial and live bait), which baits work best and how to retrieve them, best/worst times of the day to fish, best colors, and best underwater terrain to fish.


-LOCATION- South Eastern Pennsylvania -Octorara Reservoir.

-WATER- Currently muddy due to recent rain. Usually clear dark green with a lure visibility of 1-2 feet deep.

-WEATHER- High is low 70s, sunny/partly cloudy


I don't know if it matters, but I'll be fishing out of my kayak.

ANY and ALL suggestions would be great.
