Nice pics...Is that your bait ?

What I am up to... Well, I am sitting a house near Kempsey NSW. The owners have a "creek" running through the property, but it is more like a small river. Runs off the Macleay River if you want to Google it. The creek and river holds bull sharks and lots of them.

I have a Penn GT220 and a Penn 5'6" 15kg class rod with me. I reckon that should be just enough to land me a bull shark...I am just waiting for this bloody wind to stop... Then all I have to do is walk the 100m (300 feet) through the cow paddock to the edge of the "creek" without getting bitten by a black snake or a brown snake or a tiger snake or a death adder...The black snake is not to bad, but the other 3 will kill ya. It is alright, I will wear my safety foot ware...a pair of hand knitted booties. Knitted with 8 ply angora wool, of course.

You want a pic of this shark when I land it ??? My god man...how long will that take ? I will have to pose for it, probably holding the sharks mouth open. Then side load it into the PC USB slot before up loading to the server only to down load to the web site only to be up loaded to the interwebgooglethingy so that you can down load to your PC so that you can up load a reply...Sounds very time consuming, will it cut into my beer time ?

I don't know how long it will take you to land a bullshark........but Id use a wire leader and some 100 lb braided line and have it on the bar b in short order ! but I wouldn't be dragged down by all that wool on my feet either. Don't tell me you wouldn't be steaking out a good eating shark for a 100 lbs of meat for the freezer. Good luck and yes....................we want a photo

You are a hard man to deal with...I will see what I can do.

Jokes aside. I just realised that in 46 years of fishing, I only have 3 photos. One of me with a huge mud crab I caught by hand 100km (60 miles) west of Darwin. Video of me landing 3 100cm barramundi (yes 3) in the Adelaide River again west of Darwin. And the third is of a 60cm tailor I boated in St Georges Basin south of Nowra on the NSW south coast.

I was thinking of using a fresh squid head as bait with a wire trace and 30lb mono...Cos I figure getting a bull shark land-based on 30lb will knock all the other contestants out of the comp
