The left side menu of the main page shows only the latest photo comments.

On the right side the latest forum posts are shown

But because of caching, it takes a few minutes after posting before messages show up in those side panels.

ah ah...I think I just had an ah ah moment...

Latest comments appear on the left in the Catches Page.

I don't think you can post a message to it as such. It is an automated summary of what has been posted.

...............Or is this a question way above my pay grade ? !!!

Thanks, I'm going to try to post a picture and report. I caught these bass with a 7" purple worm in a lake near my home in Federalsburg MD.

yeah - they appear in the catches page and also left of the main page.
You are right on. They are automatically added as a summary of latest photo comments or forum posts to provide a quick overview.

They just don't appear straight away after posting. It usually takes a few minutes until the system updates the side panels.
